Our Renaissance Floral Wood Print Set are recreations of the baroque masterpieces by Jacob Marrel, a 17th century German painter who became famous for his depictions of Dutch flowers. The original oil still lifes were painted on copper, their curved alcove details being translated into the rounded wooden shape of these framed prints. Our interpretation of the dark, dramatic details of the lavish floral arrangements are juxtaposed by a natural wooden construct and distressed finish, making these pieces engaging and accessible art for the home without compromising their regal elegance.
